Rat Terrier Advice publishes educational pet-care content. Every article and tool result follows the standards below.

How we write

• We use positive-reinforcement language and reject punishment-based, intimidation-based, or shock-collar-first methods.
• We label estimates as estimates and never present them as guaranteed measurements.
• We add a veterinary disclaimer near any topic that touches health, diet, growth, mobility, pain, or behavior.
• We add a trainer disclaimer near any topic that touches reactivity, fear, or aggression.

How we review

• Every guide is reviewed against the latest AKC, AVMA, and breed-club guidance available at publication.
• We update the "last updated" date on substantive revisions.
• We correct factual errors as soon as we can verify them, and add a correction note when the change is material.
